In May and June the Valley of Kazanlak is the place where the Rose and its fragrance
pervade everything. Here everything is made of roses: perfumes, shampoos, facial tonics,
creams, breakfast jams, brandies, medicaments... If you want to deeply experience this
Roses fantasy, you can take part also in the rose-gathering and visit the old rose oil
factories... then you'll keep the rose scent for a long. |

1 |
Arrival in Sofia and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Sofia. |
Day
2 |
In the morning, Sofia city-tour. Drive to
Plovdiv and short sightseeing. Night in Plovdiv. |

3 |
Festival Day 1: Departure by
bus to Kazanlak, the Rose Festival Center. Festival Program: welcoming drink, music
program, gala dinner, opening ceremony. |
Day
4 |
Festival Day 2: Visit to the
Kazanlak Tomb, an UNESCO sight. Visit to a Rose Water Distillery, rose brandy and rose jam
tasting, visit to the Rose Museum. Lunch and dinner with folk and music show. |
Day
5 |
Festival Day 3: Early breakfast.
Rose-gathering. Gustation of ethereal oils. Visit to the Rose Institute and its rose oil
distillery and green-house. Carnival. End of the Festival. Departure to Veliko Tarnovo
after lunch and visit to Etara Ethnographic Museum. Night in Veliko Tarnovo. |
Day
6 |
Veliko Tarnovo: visit to Tzarevetz Fortress
and the village of Arbanassi. Night in Veliko Tarnovo. In the evening, Lights and
Sounds Show. |
Day
7 |
Drive back to Sofia. En route, visit to
Troyan Monastery. Free afternoon in Sofia. |
Day
8 |
Transfer to the Airport. End of the tour. |
