We offer you this specially designed tour covering the most representative four Bulgarian UNESCO sites, included in the World Heritage List.  The Jewels of Bulgaria


Day 1

Arrival in Sofia. Transfer to the hotel. Night in Sofia.
Day 2 Stay in Sofia: in the morning, Sofia city-tour and visit to Boyana Church, an UNESCO site due to its early Renaissance icons. Free afternoon.
Day 3 After breakfast, departure to Rila Monastery, included in the World Heritage List. Visit to the Monastery Museum. In the afternoon, departure to Plovdiv. Night in Plovdiv.
Day 4 In the morning, Plovdiv city-tour (the Old Town and the Amphitheater). Departure to Kazanlak. Visit to the Kazanlak Tomb, the most ancient UNESCO' site in the country. Night in Kazanlak.
Day 5 After breakfast, departure to Shumen. Over-stop in Etara, an open-air ethnographic museum of the old Bulgarian crafts. Night in Shumen.
Day 6 Visit to Madara Horseman, an impressive rock bas-relief, included in the UNESCO list. In the afternoon, departure to Veliko Tarnovo. Visit to the picturesque village of Arbanassi. Night in Veliko Tarnovo.
Day 7 In the morning, Tarnovo city-tour and Tzarevetz Fortress. Departure to Sofia. Night in Sofia.
Day 8 Transfer from the hotel to Sofia Airport.

 


The 7 Bulgarian Wonders

Now Sveshtare Tomb, the largest ancient tomb on the Balkan Peninsula, is open to the public. You will be just surprised to know that other 6 UNESCO sites are present in our small country, all covered by this tour.


 
Day 1 Arrival in Sofia. Transfer from Sofia Airport to the hotel. Night in Sofia.
Day 2 Stay in Sofia: in the morning, Sofia city-tour and visit to Boyana Church, an UNESCO site due to its invaluable Renaissance icons. Free afternoon.
Day 3 After breakfast, departure to Veliko Tarnovo. City-tour and Tzarevetz Fortress. Night in Veliko Tarnovo.
Day 4 Departure to Russe. En route, visit to Arbanassi, an old village of picturesque architecture. Visit to Ivanovo Rock Monasteries, included in the World Heritage List. Night in Russe.
Day 5 After breakfast, visit to Sveshtare Tomb, one of the most important UNESCO discoveries in Europe. Night in Shumen.
Day 6 In the morning, visit to Madara Horseman, an impressive rock bas-relief, included in the UNESCO list. Drive to Varna and city-tour (the old Roman Thermal Baths). Night in Varna.
Day 7 After breakfast, departure to Nessebar, small peninsula with a lot of old churches, UNESCO site. Free afternoon on the Black Sea beaches. Night in Burgas.
Day 8 Departure to Kazanlak. Visit to the Kazanlak Tomb, the most ancient UNESCO site in Bulgaria. Visit to the Museum of the Roses. Night in Kazanlak.
Day 9 After breakfast, drive to Plovdiv. City-tour (the Old Town and the Amphitheater). Free afternoon. Night in Plovdiv.
Day 10 Departure to Sofia. En route, visit to Rila Monastery, included in the World Heritage List and its Museum. Night in Sofia.
Day 11 Transfer from the hotel to Sofia Airport.
